Description:
Speech and Language Pathologist -Samaritan Hospital-Per Diem-need coverage for both weekdays and weekends
Samaritan Hospital located in Troy, NY, is in need of a per diem Speech Language Pathologist to join their team.
What you will do:
+ As a Speech and Language Pathologist you are responsible for direct patient care. Integrate elements of patient/client management, examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis and interventions in a manner designed to maximize patient’s functional outcomes.
Responsibilities:
+ Formulates comprehensive treatment program by evaluating patients with cognitive linguistic disorders, communication disorders, dysphagia/swallowing disorders and voice/respiratory disorders.
+ Identify and refer patients for related services (audiology, vocational, medical as appropriate).
+ Assess patient's rehab needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate disposition, equipment, education and treatment recommendations.
+ Completes all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory and facility's compliance standards.
What you will need:
+ Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Master’s degree
+ Completion of Clinical Fellowship
+ Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration
+ Minimum of 1 year of Speech Language Pathologist experience in acute care or Long Term Care environment
+ Certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association
PER DIEM Rate: $50
Experience based pay range if hired for full-time or part-time: $37.60 - $47.60
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
