Quality Engineer – Blue Ash, OH

Assists in ensuring quality during all phases of production. Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products. Engages in quality control processes or procedures including product inspection, testing and analysis of products, reporting on quality to management, and approving or denying product release. Establishes programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of equipment.

What You Will Do:

+ Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed.

+ Designs and installs sophisticated testing equipment and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates

+ Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions

+ Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensures that effective corrective actions are implemented and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs.

+ Must be willing to travel 25%

+ Bachelors degree required.

+ Requires expanded knowledge and experience in own area; incumbents are still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.

+ Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems.

+ Analyses possible solutions using standard procedures. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.

+ Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own area of expertise while developing additional skill sets.

+ Understands key business objectives; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. No supervisory responsibilities; accountable for own contribution.

+ Solves standard problems by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents.

+ Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies.

+ Explains information to others in straightforward situations.
