Description

Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an interim Accounting Manager to support a client in Jackson Center, Ohio. This is a contract position that requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and leadership. The ideal candidate will excel in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements. This is an interim role, supporting for about 2 months until a permanent hire can be identified and onboarded. Extensions are possible if it takes longer than expected to identify a permanent resource. This role is 100% onsite at the client's location in Jackson Center, OH.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely completion of preliminary reports and final close within established deadlines.

• Manage customer billing operations, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain and oversee fixed asset tracking, ensuring proper documentation and compliance standards are met.

• Prepare and post journal entries, including adjustments, to ensure precise financial reporting.

• Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting activities to support organizational planning and decision-making.

• Ensure adherence to internal controls and external regulatory requirements, particularly for publicly-held companies.

• Supervise and guide the accounting team, promoting efficiency and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.

• Coordinate audit preparation and respond to internal and external audit inquiries.

• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, to analyze and manage financial data.

• Support financial system transitions and adapt processes to new platforms as required.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.

• Strong proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and financial reporting.

• Extensive knowledge of fixed asset management and compliance requirements.

• Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other analytical functions.

• Familiarity with accounting systems like Microsoft Dynamics, OneStream, or similar platforms.

• Proven ability to manage audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills to convey financial concepts to diverse teams.
