Description
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our growing team. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial integrity. Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger by working closely with the local accounting team to create detailed workpapers and account reconciliations.
• Provide expertise on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, consolidation, lease accounting, and the adoption of new accounting standards.
• Coordinate and prepare financial schedules for the annual audit, collaborating with external auditors to meet compliance requirements and deadlines.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure audit readiness and compliance with company policies.
• Conduct regular reviews of transactional data to ensure financial reporting integrity and adherence to accounting policies.
• Support system integrations and migrations by ensuring data accuracy and effective system operation across the organization.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and focused growth.
Requirements • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP compliance.
• Proficiency with accounting software systems such as Concur, ADP Financial Services, and Crystal Reports.
• Experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and auditing functions.
• Familiarity with DCAA compliance standards and related financial practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Strong leadership capabilities, including experience mentoring and developing accounting teams.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
