Description

We are thrilled to partner with an accomplished family law practice in downtown Chicago that specializes in matrimonial and family law, handling complex financial and custody disputes with compassion and professionalism. They are currently looking for a Family Law Attorney to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.

Responsibilities:

As a Family Law Attorney, you will play a key role in supporting the firm’s mission by:

+ Drafting motions, pleadings, and legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.

+ Representing clients in court for status hearings (non-contested).

+ Managing discovery processes, ensuring thorough information collection to support legal strategies.

+ Conducting legal research and preparing detailed memoranda.

+ Performing income analysis to assess financial matters central to family law disputes.

+ Participating in client meetings and maintaining a client-focused approach to case management.

Requirements

+ A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Illinois State Bar.

+ 1–3 years of experience in family law or closely related practice areas.

+ Proficiency in drafting legal documents, conducting research, and managing discovery processes.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client-facing interactions.

+ A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work efficiently under deadlines.

+ A compassionate and professional approach to sensitive family law matters.
