Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Lead the annual budgeting process by establishing timelines, coordinating inputs, analyzing and consolidating financial data, and developing actionable plans.
+ Monitor budget performance by tracking expenditures, analyzing variances, recommending corrective actions, and partnering with business leaders across departments.
+ Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
+ Guide strategic financial decisions and safeguard company assets by monitoring adherence to internal controls and established financial policies.
+ Manage and forecast company cash flow, identifying opportunities to optimize liquidity across all operational functions.
+ Provide insight into the company’s financial health by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data and metrics.
+ Prepare and present special financial reports by synthesizing data, identifying trends, and offering actionable insights.
+ Communicate financial performance and key metrics to internal stakeholders, board members, and investors as required.
+ Oversee financial systems and lead the implementation and integration of financial software and tools to support business operations.
+ Coordinate financial audits, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided to external auditors.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, staying current with legislation, preparing required filings, and advising leadership on compliance strategies.
+ Lead and develop the finance team by recruiting, training, and mentoring staff to foster a high-performance culture.
+ Manage staff performance through ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and development planning.
