Description
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced CFO/Controller to join our client's team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will oversee financial operations while contributing to strategic decision-making and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, financial leadership, and human resource management, ensuring operational excellence and compliance across all domains.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Oversee compliance with tax filings, audits, and accounting standards, maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement internal controls to protect company assets and ensure consistent financial practices.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Administer benefit programs, including health insurance and retirement plans, while maintaining compliance with employment laws.
• Design and enforce HR policies that align with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape long-term organizational strategies and operational goals.
• Monitor and optimize cash flow and capital investments to support ongoing property management projects.
• Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in accounting or financial leadership roles, preferably in property management.
• Minimum of 3 years in human resources management or related leadership positions.
• Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or AppFolio, and advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP or QuickBooks Payroll is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting processes, and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage compliance efforts and implement effective internal controls.
