    PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions servicing the Life Sciences sector, is looking for Instrumentation Technician for a 6-month contract for at its Puerto Rico office.

    Job Description :

    The Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for various tasks related to the development and delivery of instrumentation and control systems for our Biopharmaceutical, Medical Device, and Pharmaceutical clients. This role will support the development and implementation of industrial automation systems, including the preparation of related testing documentation.

    Requirement

    + Associate Degree or 60 credits toward BS in Instrumentation/Calibration or Mechanical Engineering

    + Experience on GMP environment preferable pharma or biotech industry

    Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

    + Strong problem-solving competencies with troubleshooting experience is needed.

    + Experience with process control system.

    + Familiarity with PI&D and control system DWG.

    + Strong knowledge in instrumentation devices such as flow, temperature, pressure, and level transmitters, on/off and control valve, among others.

    + Repair of signal transmission facility such as tubing, wiring, etc.

    + Install electrical conduit (ex. Rigid conduit, PVC Coated, EMT).

    + Install electrical wiring between equipment, fixtures, and/or Control Panels.

    + Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is under relevant codes.

    + Excellent computer skills (MS Office) are necessary.

    + Perform all duties safely and in compliance with EHS policies.

    + Attention to detail and professional behavior.

    Desired Hard Skill Sets :

    + Knowledge in pipe conduit construction (ex. Rigid conduit, PVC Coated, EMT).

    + Knowledge of electrical pulling and wiring.

    + Knowledge of GMP and OSHA regulations.

    + Must be physically capable of  working from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.

    + Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices.

    Desired Soft Skills:

    + Works well with others, within a team and takes accountability.

    + Results-driven and self-motivated.

    + Strong interpesonal and communication skills.

    + Fluent in English and Spanish.

    Other Requirements:

    Availability to work different shifts and/or weekends, when required.
