    **Senior Software Developer** **,** **Bristol-Myers Squibb Company** **, Princeton, NJ.** Collaborate with other engineers as well as product managers, solution architects, tech leads, UX designers, and dev ops engineers to deliver fast, reliable, maintainable solution in AWS. Participate in all phases of software engineering including requirements, design, coding, and testing. Design and implement product features in collaboration with product managers and stakeholder. Design reusable components, frameworks, web applications and libraries or micro-services. Present architectural diagrams and get the buy in from customer. Consult on projects providing best practice support to help realize the requirements with a micro service approach. Design and support mission-critical, high-availability architectures with a focus on implementing in the Cloud. Implement individual software components, with high emphasis on quality, test-driven development, and sound software engineering practices. Develop, deploy, and debug cloud-based applications using AWS. May work 5 days per two weeks within normal commuting distance of Princeton, NJ. (R1592893)

    40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $129,584 - $161,580/yr.

    **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** :

     

    Requires bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information technology or a related field, plus 4 years of post-baccalaureate experience. The experience must include the following:

     

    • At least two programming languages e.g. Python/ Node.js/ C#/Java/ PL-SQL

    • Cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

    • Cloud monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Google Cloud Logging.

    • HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end development.

    • Unit tests utilizing a testing framework such as Pytest, JUnit or NUnit

    • UI frameworks such as Angular, React, Knockout, or Vue.js.

    • SQL and relational databases.

    • Software design patterns such as MVC or Singleton and database patterns such as ORM.

    • Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.

     

    The skills, knowledge and/or experience below do not need to be maintained over the full term of experience required.

    The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

    BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

     

    Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
