    PURPOSE:

    * This document prescribes the expectations, skills, and education / experience requirements for the position identified.

     

    *

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    * Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner.

    * Each person, regardless of role or position, is responsible for Food Packaging Safety and Quality and GMP.

    * Perform visual inspection of cartons for printing, die-cutting and gluing defects while feeding and packing cartons.

    * Verify case count.

    * Assist operators and assistants as needed.

    * Participate in line clearance procedures after each item is completed.

    * Work in other areas as needed, including sorting, and Flat Packing.

    * Perform quality checks on the product they produce and materials coming to their machine.

    * Accurately count, label, and inventory products they produce and materials coming to their work area.

    * Assist with make-readies.

    * Keep area in specs within all 5S requirements.

    * Work in a fast-paced environment. Complete tasks in a timely manner.

    * Report any issue or event that poses a risk to employee safety, the environment and facilities, or food packaging safety and quality.

    * Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions.

    * Participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, and training.

    * Perform other related tasks as assigned.

    EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

    * High school diploma or equivalent required.

    * Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

    * Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition and subtraction.

    * Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.

    SAFE WORK REQUIREMENTS

    * PPE: Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Safety Shoes, Gloves.

    * Compliance with Safety expectations as listed in Employee Handbook.

    ABSENCE PROVISION

    * Another comparable position will back up this position in the event of an absence.
