Job Title: Sleep TechnologistDepartment: Sleep Disorders Center Location: 10 Hagen Drive Suite 200 Rochester, NY 14625 Hours Per Week: 36Schedule: 3x12's; 630pm to 7am Sign-On Bonus: SUMMARY:As a Sleep Technologist, your knowledge, skills, and strong focus on patient care contribute to the completion of sleep tests within our Sleep Centers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Patient Care. Review patient histories; Educate and orient patients on procedure; Perform sleep studies of; maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients; provide excellent patient service
+ General Maintenance. Clean, restock and prepare rooms on a daily basis
+ Documentation. Assist with scoring portable monitoring recordings according to AASM scoring parameters; identify artifact, inadequate signals and study failures and generate an accurate report
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Successful completion of an Associate’s degree in Polysomnography Technology or Respiratory Therapy. Or, successful completion of a certificate program in Respiratory Therapy Technology.
+ Maintain current CPR or BLS certification.
+ NYS Authorization as a Polysomnographic Technologist, Respiratory Therapist, or Respiratory Therapy Technician
+ Polysomnography Technicians: Must pass the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists exam and obtain the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential within 2 years of initial NYS registration.
+ RT/RTTs: Must pass the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certified Respiratory Therapist examination (CRT) and the Registry Examination (RRT) and obtain credentials within 1 year of the initial NYS registration.
+ Employees hired prior to 2013 must obtain Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential no later than November 1, 2018.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
