Director Behavioral Health – Southside Regional Medical Center

Job Summary:

The Director of Behavioral Health provides administrative supervision to Behavioral Health (BH) staff for the BH service line under the direction of designated facility leader. Responsible for ensuring the BH service line meets key performance indicator and productivity expectations. Span of control may include multiple site locations across the market.

Essential Functions:

+ Responsible for behavioral health scheduling and staffing, quality review, chart review, SafeCare review, and ensuring behavioral health unit is survey ready.

+ Supervising staff to include payroll, performance management, coaching, hiring, and onboarding.

+ Responsible for data collection, data analysis, and measurement-based outcomes or operational qualification (OQ).

+ Manages service line budgets, strategic planning and BH program development.

+ Markets BH services to community and primary care practices.

+ Participates in continued education and in-service training.

Education:

+ Must have one of the following:(required)

+ Bachelors, Science of Nursing (BSN) (must obtain Masters, in Science of Nursing (MSN) within 3 years of employment)

+ Masters, Social Work (MSW)

+ Masters, Science in Social Administration (MSSA)

+ Masters, Registered Nurse (MSN)

+ Psychology Doctoral Degree (PsyD)

Licensing & Certifications:

+ Must have one of the following: (required)

+ Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)

+ Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

+ Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)

+ Registered Nurse (RN)

+ Psychologist Board Certification in Art, Music, or Movement Therapies

Experience:

+ 7 years of experience in related field, including 3 years of experience in a management capacity (required)
