    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Watershed Security is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Implementation Engineer to join our team supporting the Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) N6 Public Safety Systems (PSS) program. This critical role is responsible for the hands-on deployment, configuration, integration, and optimization of cutting-edge public safety systems and their associated program tools. You'll be key in transitioning concepts and prototypes to full operational capability, ensuring robust, compliant, and highly available systems that support the PSS mission.

     

    You'll work closely with the Systems, Integrated Operations, and Software Engineering teams, playing a vital role in bringing technical designs to life within a secure and mission-critical environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Deploy, configure, and integrate new PSS systems, software, and tools (including AIM portal, Remedy ITSM, MRT, and various public safety applications across on-premises, virtualized (VMware, Hyper-V), and AWS cloud environments.

    + Provide input and support for the development of Installation Design Packages (IDPs) and ensure practical considerations are integrated into planning.

    + Design, configure, test, and operate testbeds for new PSS technologies, including prototypes and production first items.

    + Execute and manage approved package implementations into production, including scheduling and rigorous testing.

    + Implement DevSecOps principles and practices, including structuring and integrating CI/CD pipelines with version control systems (e.g., GitLab, Subversion, GIT), implementing blue-green deployments/canary releases, and managing self-managed runners for optimized CI/CD infrastructure.

    + Ensure all implementations and server administrations adhere strictly to NIWC Pacific, Navy, and DoD security policies, including NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, and other compliance frameworks.

    + Support Authority To Operate (ATO) package development by analyzing accreditations, providing guidance on configuration impacts, and advising on STIG implementation.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to system functionality and performance post-implementation.

    + Contribute to lifecycle sustainment and End-Of-Life (EOL) planning, providing input to Lifecycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP).

    + Support system configuration and data management efforts, including implementing asset data standardization rules in Remedy and managing MACs (Move/Add/Change requests).

    + Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for implemented systems, including designs, configurations, diagrams, and CONOPS, and provide thorough documentation of source code.

    + Provide technical guidance and support during project transitions to new contractors, ensuring seamless continuity and documentation transfer.

    + Communicate, coordinate, and deliver training to the PSS user base on newly implemented features and systems, including developing support materials.

    + Support new business proposal efforts as requested.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

    + Ten (10) years with Master’s or 14 years with Bachelor’s degree of IT professional experience overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.

    + Experience integrating various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance support.

    + Ability to support overall project design including cost, schedule, and social issues that may be associated with a project.

    + Notable experience preparing and delivering presentations/briefing and have experience being the task lead/manager.

    + Active Secret Clearance.

    + Ability to meet IAT Level II requirements.

    + Must be able to report onsite to Norfolk, VA or Charleston, SC work locations Monday – Friday 8am -4.30pm EST

    PAY RANGE

    Final salary is influenced by factors such as location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Watershed offers competitive compensation, medical and dental benefits, educational reimbursement, 401K plans with matching, 15 days of PTO to start and 11 paid holidays per year.   The proposed salary range for this position is: $150,000 - $175,000 USD
