    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Database Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of AWS services and experience with infrastructure automation tools. This role is perfect for someone eager to grow their skills in cloud-based database deployment and automation.

     

    _Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance._

     

    _Rate: $30 - $35 / hr. w2_

    Responsibilities:

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. **AWS Services:**

    + Develop a basic understanding of AWS services, particularly in the following areas: RDS, S3, Athena, ECS, Lambda, AWS Organizations, and IAM policy setup.

    + Assist in the configuration and management of these services to support database infrastructure needs.

    1. **Terraform Development:**

    + Develop and deploy database infrastructure using Terraform.

    + Write and modify Terraform modules to automate the deployment of database services in AWS.

    1. **Lambda Modification:**

    + Modify AWS Lambda functions using Python under the guidance of a senior database engineer.

    + Support the integration of Lambda functions with other AWS services to enhance database operations.

    1. **Ansible Automation:**

    + Gain a basic understanding of Ansible to automate the deployment of Postgres infrastructure.

     

    Assist in automating repetitive tasks for on-premises servers to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload

    Experience Requirements:

    Qualifications:

    + Basic knowledge of AWS services, including RDS, S3, Athena, ECS, Lambda, AWS Organizations, and IAM.

    + Familiarity with Terraform and the ability to write and modify modules for AWS deployments.

    + Basic understanding of Python for modifying AWS Lambda functions.

    + Exposure to Ansible for automating infrastructure tasks is a plus.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

    + Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

    _Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range._
