    _Note: The hourly rate for this position is $25 - $30 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.     Responsibilities:

    + Install new wiring, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures in remodeled residential spaces (kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, etc.)

    + Remove or reroute existing electrical systems to accommodate updated layouts and design plans

    + Interpret and follow architectural drawings, blueprints, and local code requirements for remodeling projects

    + Upgrade electrical panels and ensure systems meet current National Electrical Code (NEC) and Maryland residential code standards

    + Work closely with general contractors, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and homeowners to coordinate timing and layout of electrical installations

    + Identify and resolve electrical issues uncovered during demolition or renovation

    + Install modern lighting systems, including recessed lighting, smart switches, dimmers, and under-cabinet lighting

    + Perform rough-in and trim-out phases of electrical installation during remodeling cycles

    + Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and properly secured before and after work is completed

    + Conduct system testing and inspections to verify safe and functional operation before project completion

    + Adhere to OSHA safety standards and local permitting/inspection processes in Maryland

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum 3?5 years of residential electrical experience, preferably with remodeling or renovation work

    + Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Maryland/local residential building codes

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, remodeling plans, and wiring diagrams

    + Experience with panel upgrades, circuit installation, rewiring, and lighting systems

    + Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical systems in older homes

    + Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, circuit testers)

    + Comfortable performing both rough-in and trim-out electrical work

    + Must have reliable transportation and basic personal protective equipment (PPE)

    + Able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, attics, or crawl spaces, and climb ladders

    + Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially when working with general contractors and other trades
