MercyOne North Iowa is the largest provider of health care services in our region, and we are proudly the largest employer in Cerro Gordo County. Our hospital is a private, not-for-profit health care center, licensed for 346 beds, which serves more than 400,000 inpatients and outpatients each year. In addition, MercyOne North Iowa is a teaching institution. We conduct a Family Medicine Residency, Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiology Fellowship, Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship, PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a School of Radiologic Technology. MercyOne North Iowa is a clinical training site for approximately 500 students from 127 different colleges enrolled in programs for medical laboratory, nursing, paramedic, rehabilitation, medical assistants, pastoral services, physicians and many other medical fields.

About The Job** **:
The CT Assistant helps to provide assistance to the technologists in the CT Department as needed to improve the workflow and patient experience. This role focuses primarily on transporting patients, greeting patients, pre-procedure phone calls, preparing orders, and activities of the daily workflow. The CT assistant performs receptionist, secretarial, housekeeping, and restocking duties and serves as communication liaison in the department.
What We Are Looking For
Education [formal]:
+ High school diploma or equivalent is required _._
+ Prior patient care experience preferred.
+ Medical terminology helpful, but not required.
**Hours:** PRN - 9:00am - 5:00pm
**Experience** :
Basic computer skill required.
Special Skills and Competencies:
+ Ability to prioritize multiple orders or requests in a rapid and accurate manner in order to provide timely service.
+ Must have excellent customer service skills.
+ Must have the ability to communicate effectively with other hospital personnel and patients.
+ Must be able to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
+ Possesses organizational skills to prioritize duties.
+ Must provide proof of **Basic Life Support** (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.
+ Completes **Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse** requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years.
