Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the general direction of the Facilities Management Director, the Manager is responsible for providing superior compliance organization and creative process improvement to remain survey ready at all times. Must be skilled at making plans for success to include all necessary departments. Must have strong organization & analyzation skills to make any project work with in required compliance requirements and minimal budgetary impact. These skills would be demonstrated through minimal survey findings and best in practice accolades in areas maintained within the hospital environment.
What you will do in this role:
+ Auditing of inspection documentation for the preparation for accreditation surveys
+ On-site education of Plant Operations management and staff for preparation of accreditation survey process
+ Design specific processes and systems to help a facility reduce accreditation survey citations
+ Perform on-site survey assessments for accreditation survey preparation
+ Design and maintain information used to reduce accreditation survey citation at facility level.
+ Track, trend and report accreditation survey citations
+ Audit Life Safety drawing for appropriateness
+ Education of Joint Commission Citations
+ Analysis and trending of regulatory citations
+ Performs other duties as assigned by the Engineering Director.
+ Integration of HCA record keeping and inventory systems
+ Design, manage processes to keep Environment of Care inspection paperwork organized and survey ready
+ Utilizes appropriate principles related to safety and infection control in the provision of services.
+ Utilizes appropriate body mechanics in the moving and lifting of supplies and equipment.
+ Utilizes appropriate precautions related to infection control in relation to maintenance of equipment, supplies, the environment, and personal hygiene activities.
+ Communicates effectively verbally and in writing to fulfill position responsibilities.
+ Develops, reviews, and manages the activities of self in collaboration with the Facilities Service Director based on demand for service.
+ Actively participates in Hospital and Departmental committees and group meetings with a focus on providing input regarding improving the quality of services in the facility.
+ Ensures that problems or concerns regarding the areas of responsibility are communicated with the Engineering Director.
What qualifications you will need:
+ Stationary Engineer must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
