Job Summary

Registered Technologist with both administrative and clinical accountability to designated service area. Work with the Director of Imaging Services to plan budget, workflow and staffing needs. Implements / updates department specific policies, procedures and standards with adherence to facility, state, federal and Joint Commission criteria. Provide leadership in development, optimization, and application of system protocols. Communicates on a daily basis all staff and patient related issues or problems that occur. Provide direction/action to ensure excellence in image quality and patient care employing technique that is both appropriate to patient age and clinical condition.

+ Demonstrates critical thinking skills and leadership in planning, directing and provision of care to patients in accordance with hospital/department policies and procedures.

+ Maintains supply/inventory control.

+ Assist with Quality Control to identify areas of improvement and implement steps to enhance quality throughout the Department.

+ Assists the Director of Imaging Services with staff recruitment, selection, and staff recognition.

+ Assist with staff scheduling and patient coordination is maintained at all times.

+ Ensures proper system maintenance, operation and care.

+ Fosters staff development, teamwork, and effective communication.

What qualifications you will need:

+ **Associates Degree**

+ **American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)**

+ **3-7 years of experience in a hospital setting - Proven leader with Imaging**

+ **Basic Life Support Certification.**

+ **Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited MRI program preferred.**
