Job Summary and Qualifications
This position is responsible for the strategic development, direction, leadership and execution of division, regional or HCA national agreements related to specific service lines and/or geographies as assigned. This role works closely and leads a team of professionals including Contract Directors, Contract Managers, and other technical and subject matter experts
What you will do in this role:
+ Identify and develop team-specific strategies with a focus on sourcing and supply chain opportunities to support the goals and objectives of HCA’s service lines.
+ Establishes team objectives, directs team operations and develops overall team strategies and processes to accomplish service line goals.
+ Collaborates with other service line teams within HCA to ensure priorities, objectives and work efforts are aligned and supported with the appropriate resources and expertise.
+ Directs and manages key supplier relationships within the service line and articulates the needs of HCA to the supplier community ensuring our needs and expectations are clearly communicated.
+ Leads negotiations for assigned key categories and select suppliers to drive improved value and contracting strategy
+ Review all division/regional/national agreements within the assigned service line(s) to ensure they are not in conflict with HealthTrust or other national HCA agreements.
+ Ensures team functions support and contribute to HCA’s Overall Financial and Clinical Performance goals.
+ Decisions are guided by strategic and operational objectives established by HCA Leadership.
+ Maintains compliance to HCA’s Physician Owned and or Connected Supplier Policies.
+ Receives guidance from Senior and/or Executive Leaders of HCA
+ Work with HCA Divisions, Directors of Contracting, HealthTrust GPO, specific target vendors, etc. to identify new and/or improved contracting opportunities and to maximize cost reductions for division/regional/ national service line contracts
Strategic Development:
+ Work closely with each HCA Group and Division, Service Line Team and Clinical Team in the development and successful accomplishments of cost management and service line goals.
+ Develops contracting strategy with HCA leadership and executes on negotiation and implementation of contract value
+ Function as a liaison between corporate supply chain and the Division Supply Chain leadership in providing guidance, support, and coordination of contracting activities.
Communication:
+ Participates and practices in all aspects of communications including both internal and external customers.
Execution:
+ Must possess capabilities to ensure strategic vision can become a viable, value-based solution that is executable.
+ Responsible for managing contracting team initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment that demands strong capabilities to come in to projects and initiatives without much guidance and deliver them to completion
What qualifications you will need:
+ Bachelor’s Degree Required
+ 7-10 years of related healthcare or industry experience
+ Contracting experience in healthcare preferred
