Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in accounting and a desire to contribute to a dynamic construction-focused organization. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting critical accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Record and post transactions to the general ledger, including preparing and entering adjusting journal entries.

• Perform thorough bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Manage fixed asset registers and maintain accurate schedules.

• Execute month-end and year-end closing tasks in alignment with established procedures.

• Reconcile and analyze various general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.

• Compile and provide year-end audit documentation as requested by auditors.

• Handle additional accounting duties as assigned to meet organizational needs. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in construction, engineering, or related industries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced spreadsheet functions.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods when necessary.

• Familiarity with general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.

• Experience with month-end close procedures and bank reconciliations.
