This is an opportunity to join a research team conducting studies focused on the role of sleep in the development and maintenance of mood disorders and suicide risk in young people. Responsibilities include screening and recruiting adolescents/young adults and overseeing all aspects of data collection involving questionnaires, clinical interviews, mobile sensing, ecological momentary assessment (EMA) and actigraphy. This position requires someone with research experience who is personable and non-judgmental. This candidate must have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, punctual, and have good time management and professional communication skills. Ideal candidates will have had prior experience in clinical research with adolescents or young adults. Some evening and occasional weekend hours may be required.
This position is grant funded.
Responsibilities:
+ Assist the Project Coordinator on a daily basis to ensure smooth project operations.
+ Assist with participant recruitment, enrolling and scheduling new participants.
+ Schedule, coordinate and track all study visits.
+ Maintain regular communication with the participants to track their progress in the study and enhance adherence with study procedures.
+ Manage the participant payment process throughout the study.
+ Collect and process actigraphy data.
+ Ensure that all study equipment is charged and in working order.
+ Distribute and retrieve actigraphy and other study equipment to all participants in a timely
+ fashion.
+ Clean and process data and ensure data quality control procedures.
+ Complete all project administrative tasks as requested.
+ Maintain ongoing records for participant tracking and assessment records in an organized manner that is easily accessible by the appropriate research faculty and staff.
+ Develop and maintain a standard operating procedure manual for the protocol.
+ Interface effectively with research and clinical staff to maintain efficient communication about data collection, entry, and quality control issues.
+ Attend and participate in all project-related meetings, including regular staff meetings and research team meetings.
+ Bachelors degree required preferably in Psychology, Neuroscience, Sociology, or related research field.
+ Minimum of two years of work experience in a clinical research project and/or related clinical setting is required.
+ Experience with psychological research preferred.
+ Maintain current education and certification in Human Subjects research practice fundamentals.
+ High degree of motivation and the ability to function independently.
+ Flexibility and the ability to adapt to multiple organizational workload changes
+ Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/oral communication skills.
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekend and evenings.
+ Familiarity with computers and common software packages required.
+ Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred.
+ Prior supervisory and/or project management experience preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
