This study aims to explore whether financial incentives can improve medication adherence among individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and/or bipolar disorder, along with alcohol or opioid use disorders. Specifically, we are focusing on individuals who have recently experienced involuntary hospitalization or are at high risk of one in the near future. The goal is to determine whether offering financial incentives can help prevent future mental health crises and reduce the likelihood of involuntary hospitalizations by supporting consistent medication use in this vulnerable population.
