    _This position is located at the D7 Headquarter Building in Mankato and may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor._

    Job Duties:

    Provide supervision and technical support to contract administration and design personnel on bridge/highway construction projects. Administer assigned construction projects by accomplishing required construction engineering and contract administration duties, including supervising assigned MnDOT employees.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Licensure as a professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design(AELSLAGID). (If obtaining licensure through Comity, a temporary permit from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.)

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Knowledge and experience in materials, road/bridge contract administration and general construction practices.

    + Previous supervisory or leadwork experience of paraprofessional construction engineering work and skills sufficient to ensure construction projects are completed in a timely manner.

    + Experience negotiating with contractors and writing change orders.
