Responsibilities:

+ Provide safe, efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment in an Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Plant

+ Provide functional support to maintenance department projects and daily activities

+ Provide support to all other departments as deemed necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Second Class B boiler license or able to obtain within 3 months

+ Knowledge and experience with the safe operation and maintenance of refrigeration equipment using ammonia, Freon or carbon dioxide as refrigerants

+ Possess good mechanical aptitude

+ Good attendance

+ Able to work well with a group or alone on any shift required

+ Continuous demonstration of safe and efficient work habits

+ Must have good oral and written communication and planning skills

+ Able to work in cold, wet, or hot environments and able to lift 60 pounds

+ Ability to work with heights and confined spaces

+ Must be able to pass a lung function test to be certified to wear a self-contained breathing apparatus or gas mask which requires no facial hair in areas where the face mask seals against the face

+ High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Two years vo-tech training or four years experience in industrial maintenance and refrigeration

+ One year working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration theory and design

+ Second Class B Boiler license or higher
