    Clinical Practice

     

    *

     

    Promotes clinical practice based on best evidence. Serves as a resource for specialty-based information and research

     

    *

     

    Promotes a clinical environment in which staff participates in ongoing education as well as the use of a wide range of resources available to enhance practice.

     

    *

     

    Provides clinical consultation and assistance upon request to other patient care areas at NLH.

     

    *

     

    Works effectively with physician colleagues in the department to ensure quality in the provision of patient care.

     

    *

     

    Leads the development and maintenance of an effective multi-disciplinary approach to the resolution of clinical challenges.

     

    *

     

    Establishes a compassionate and caring environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their significant others.

     

    *

     

    Operational Management

     

    *

     

    Schedules staff appropriately in accordance with department needs. Conducts ongoing reassessment of the staffing requirements based on volume. Communicates and collaborates with leadership team to make adjustments as required.

     

    *

     

    Works collaboratively with HR to recruit and hire staff.

     

    *

     

    Conducts timely and meaningful performance reviews with all staff.

     

    *

     

    Coaches and counsels staff as needed to assure optimal performance.

     

    *

     

    Collaborates with Senior Director of Ambulatory Services to develop departmental operating and capital budgets. Monitors expenses and analyzes variances.

     

    *

     

    Quality

     

    *

     

    Supports and engages staff in organizational quality initiatives.

     

    *

     

    Develops departmental quality priorities.

     

    *

     

    Participates actively in the review of existing policies and procedures. Develops new policies when appropriate.

     

    *

     

    Personal and Staff Development

     

    *

     

    Maintains professional competence through participation in educational programs and workshops

     

    *

     

    Encourages staff development. Works collaboratively with others to engage the staff to participate in organizational priorities.

     

    *

     

    Ensures that all staff complete orientation, annual competencies, and mandatory requirements in a timely manner.

     

    *

     

    Ensures hospital and departmental policies and procedures are followed in a manner consistent with NLH expectations.

     

    *

     

    Empowers staff to make decisions and feel a sense of ownership and pride in their work.

     

    *

     

    Collaborates with the Ambulatory Educator to provide support to the staff’s educational needs and to enhance the skill level of our staff.

     

    *

     

    *

     

    Minimum pay: $48.01

     

    *

     

    Maximum pay: $72.02
