Job Summary:
The Network Corporate Giving Officer is a dynamic and strategic frontline fundraiser responsible for cultivating and securing philanthropic partnerships from corporate donors in support of WMCHealth Foundation’s mission and priorities. With a focus on sponsorship and high-impact corporate gifts, this role builds and manages a portfolio of corporate supporters and leads outreach to new and existing business partners. The Network Corporate Giving Officer will also play a key role in developing and securing event sponsorships to support key Foundation initiatives. In addition, this role provides strategic support for Foundation events to ensure optimal donor engagement and visibility. The Network Corporate Giving Officer will contribute to broader campaign and philanthropic efforts by integrating corporate partners into strategic giving opportunities, including major gifts, recognition programs. This position works closely with development colleagues, clinicians, hospital leadership, and corporate stakeholders and reports to the Vice President of Development.
Responsibilities:
+ Serve as the lead fundraiser for corporate sponsorships and philanthropic giving across the WMCHealth Network, including capital, programmatic, and campaign initiatives.
+ Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of current and prospective corporate donors with capacity for five, six, and seven-figure sponsorships and gifts.
+ Proactively research and identify new sponsorship and partnership opportunities with local, regional, and national businesses and cultivates relationships with these entities via face to face meetings, electronic and other correspondence and verbal communications, including cold calling.
+ Creates innovative strategies and implements plans in conjunction with the VP to ensure that corporate giving and event sponsorship goals are met or exceeded and that a continuum of donor engagement and recruitment, as well as continuous pipeline development, occurs
+ Develop compelling sponsorship proposals aligned with institutional priorities and donor interests.
+ Serve as the liaison to corporate partners, ensuring timely reporting, recognition, and ongoing engagement. Ensure that donor-required reporting is executed on a timely basis in compliance with donor requirements.
+ Maintain accurate and timely records in the CRM system, tracking proposals, contacts, donor interactions, and outcomes.
+ Represent WMCHealth at corporate networking functions, donor stewardship events, and community engagement opportunities.
+ Work closely with leadership and development colleagues to align corporate strategies with broader campaign, capital, and programmatic initiatives.
+ Works collaboratively with the Events team and other colleagues to create and present mutually beneficial sponsorship proposals, closes sponsorship contracts, activate sponsor benefits in a timely manner; report sponsor outcomes to the corporate partner; and broadly steward corporations’ relationships as appropriate.
+ Ensure that the overall fundraising goal of special events is achieved by soliciting funds to support their stated goal, and by creating a timeline and plan for sponsor solicitations (including finding new prospective sponsors).
+ Support grant writing and proposal submission for corporate philanthropic gifts as needed.
+ Communicate effectively and professionally in writing and in person with internal stakeholders and external partners.
+ Attend and support key Foundation events to cultivate relationships with corporate donors and sponsors.
+ It is understood that this role will evolve or change with the priority needs and direction of Foundation, as determined by leadership.
+ Travel within the region is required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
+ Minimum five years of fundraising, business development, sponsorship sales, or related corporate partnership experience, required.
+ Healthcare fundraising experience, preferred.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree, required
+ Advanced degree, preferred.
