    Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Person in this position will be responsible for the general transportation needs of the agency. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Transportation of participants to appropriate Community Based Providers.

    + Maintain log for vehicle service.

    + Maintenance daily of vehicles used for participant transportation.

    + Maintain log sheet of participant transportations.

    + Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and

    + Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

     

    + Possession of a valid Class “C” Driver’s License, although a Class “B” is preferred.

    + CPR Certification, First Aid Certification

    + Must have the ability to obtain CDCR Prison Clearance.

    + Ability to pass a criminal history investigation; and

    + Must be able to qualify for WestCare vehicle insurance.

    + During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    + High School diploma or equivalent

    + One (1) year experience within a social service setting or equivalent preferred.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    + Work is primarily performed by transporting participants from correctional facilities to Community Based Providers.

    + Transportation of participants in company vehicle; and

    + Some outdoor activities may be required.
