    Job Summary

    We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Special Events Associate. This position plays a key role during the first 10 days of the academic term and throughout the home football season. The ideal candidate is adaptable, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about providing excellent service to students and fans alike.

    Responsibilities

    During the Start of the Academic Term (First 10 Days):

    + Assist students at the Course Materials Counter with locating and understanding their required textbooks and materials.

    + Support the processing, packaging, and distribution of online textbook orders.

    + Provide friendly and efficient customer service, answering questions and resolving issues.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    During Football Season:

    + Work every home football game at the stadium concessions.

    + Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards.

    + Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash and credit transactions accurately.

    + Restock inventory and maintain cleanliness at the concession stand.

    + Deliver a positive fan experience through excellent service and teamwork.

    Training & Scheduling:

    + Training will begin upon hire and continue through the start of the fall term.

    + The majority of scheduled hours will occur from late July through mid-August.

    + After the initial training period, associates may pick up open shifts and will be utilized as prep staff to help prepare for home football games **.**

    Minimum Qualifications

    One year customer service or related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated human relations and effective communications skills; and basic computer skills required.

     

    Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

     

    Preferences

     

    + Must be available to work the first 10 days of the academic term and all home football games.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

    + Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.

    + Previous retail or food service experience is a plus, but not required.
