Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a 1st Shift CNC Set Up to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 301. This position has a starting hourly wage of $24.58.
*This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The first half ($1000) is payable after successful completion of the orientation period and the second half ($1000) is payable after one consecutive year of employment. *
The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 7:00AM-3:30PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1-2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. Overtime may also be requested or mandatory on Saturdays as well.

Machine Operation:
Performs tasks correctly such as:
o Loading and unloading of parts
o Changes inserts / tooling
o Adjusts wear offsets
o Measures parts
o Run jobs within quality and efficiency expectations
o Maintains coolant level
o Maintains lubrication oil
o Greases fixtures
o Washes down inside of machine
o Cleans work area
o Production documentation
o Performs tool testing and documents results
Machine Set Up: (primary assigned machine group)
• Performs tasks correctly such as:
o Removal and installation of tools and fixtures
o Perform tool setting and tool offsets
o Transfer of machine programs to and from machine control
o Follow program movements
o Determining and establishing work offsets
o Obtain first article
o Ability to create general work holding (i.e. soft jaws)
o Machine set up with little assistance
o Involvement with selection of tooling
o Capability to do minor edits of programs
o Indicating in of jaws, fixtures, tooling, etc.
o Ability to set-up and run jobs within quality and efficiency expectations
o Set up first time runs with assistance
Mathematical Skills:
• Math ability such as:
o Addition

• Calculations of such things as:
o Speed (RPM / SFM)
o Feed (IPM / IPR)

and part layout
o Perform first part inspection and in process inspections
Blue Prints:
• Is able to read blue print dimensioning

Computer Use:
• Ability to use a standard PC and MS software
• Become proficient with essential elements of current ERP System
