Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and resolve challenging issues in a variety of software applications

+ Assist with system configuration, deployments, and control processes

+ Interact with other software developers and teams across a multidisciplinary set of software development efforts

+ Develop software for both front end and back end systems

Requirements

+ Experience in back end software application development and server deployment; including MongoDB, Kafka, Spring Boot, etc.

+ Willingness to quickly pick up new technologies

+ Experience in modern technologies such as RESTful Services, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git

+ Expert knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java or C# with focus on object-oriented methodologies

+ Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other software development-related degree; 5+ years of experience

Preferred Experience

+ Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

+ Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Junit and Mockito

+ Experience with cloud based deployments

Work Environment:

+ Location: Beavercreek, OH or Colorado Springs, CO

+ Working hours: Standard

+ Travel Requirements: Some (up to 15%)

+ Clearance: Must be eligible for DoD Clearance, current Secret preferred

Basic Compensation:

$100-140k (Rate applicable for Colorado Springs, CO only)

+ The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

+ KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
