    JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

     

    DUTIES: Apply functional and technical knowledge in one or more of the following merchandising modules: Retail Merchandising System (RMS), Retail Sales Audit (ReSA), Retail Price Management (RPM), Retail Invoice Management (ReIM) and Retail Analytics (RA) and Perpetual Inventory and Stock Ledger. Work with Oracle Retail Application Software and Oracle Retail Merchandising Operation Management (MOM) modules. Translate business requirements to solution design and technical implementation. Responsible for requirements gathering, analysis, low-level design, development, independent unit testing, and peer review for new developments. Review the architecture and provide recommendations to fulfill project needs. Interact with business users to gather and document business requirements. Analyze impact, propose resolutions by coordinating with business and IT team members. Coordinate with the offshore team to deliver on time to meet the project timeline. Work closely with the Technical/Business team and all other project stakeholders to strategize quality assurance solutions for new platform migrations. Partner with product vendor to finalize the custom solutions and explain the as-is system/process for each retail application to the product vendor in order to formulate the to-be system. Drive end to end issue resolution, including understanding the process and solution on the Oracle Retail and its inbound/outbound integrations. Implement configuration in the lower environment and assist in testing/UAT. Identify and pro-actively solve problems. Apply Agile/Scrum methodology and retail accounting knowledge. Implement data sourcing, cleansing, and augmentation and quality control processes. Build complex ETL code and SQL queries using oracle DB. Optimize data structures, improve code execution, and reduce memory consumption of existing implementation. Work closely with cross-domain financial solution teams and business partners efforts to develop and test any cross-functional solutions. Understand and document business requirements, analyze existing and/or new information and applications, propose potential solutions, and execute selected technology solutions. Use technologies including Oracle SQL, Pro*C, Unix Shell Scripting, and programming languages, including PL/SQL, and Python.

     

    REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a software engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 8 years of experience in the following Oracle modules: RMS, RPM, REIM, and RESA. 8 years of experience with SQL, Pro*C, and Unix Shell Scripting. Experience therein to including 5 years of experience with programming languages, including PL/SQL, and Python. Telecommute role, may work remotely from anywhere in the US.
