    JOB TITLE: Sr. Software Engineer

     

    DUTIES: Develop and deliver web component user interface based on approved mockups and wireframes that enable key business capabilities. Perform web application front-end programming using JavaScript, React JS, Redux, Node JS, HTML, and CSS. Execute the unit test cases of the application after code changes for enhancement and maintenance activities using Jest, Enzyme, and Cypress frameworks. Develop application programming interface (API) Microservices layers to interact with application systems based on user stories and requirements. Develop Microservices layer for integrating the business needs with external systems. Write SQL queries for Oracle Database and contribute to NoSQL database queries. Gather functional and design requirements from the Product and User Experience Designer for the application’s features, perform impact analysis by considering technical impact due to new enhancements and changes into the existing application, prepare the work breakdown structure based on the functional requirements, and track the tasks to complete the enhancements activities on time. Provide technical solutions for applications to improve performance and to automate activities. Perform DevOps duties including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) of the applications over the Linux servers using Jenkins for non-production and production environments. Maintain shell scripting for non-production and production environments for automatic deployments. Validate the application’s health using various tools such as NewRelic and Application Performance Management. Mentor the Portal team to deliver the features. Manage and lead the team of highly accomplished engineers to build and deliver customer-centric roadmap. Responsible to build the new features and iterate on existing products using the latest software development methodologies and frameworks to ensure scalability and reliability. Work with product managers to prioritize features for new products based on customer needs; and enable the web product vision for the company and manage a list of requirements based on industry trends and new technologies. Mentor and nurture talent and promote a culture of togetherness, partnership, and continuous team improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics. Collaborate within and across business units to prioritize, plan, and implement the development schedule for major product releases. Ensure technology solutions align with architectural and evolving security standards.

     

    REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, UI Developer, Front End Engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years of experience in software development and front-end development using JavaScript. Experience therein to include 2 years of experience with AWS and Continues Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). Experience therein to include 1 year of experience with Node JS, Microservices, and MongoDB. Experience therein to include 6 months of experience with React JS, Redux, Unit Testing, Jest, Enzyme, and Cypress. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
