    Reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment in the Undergraduate Admissions office, this position will serve as a key ambassador for Baruch College, representing our undergraduate programs to prospective students, families, and school counselors. You will manage recruitment and relationships for a designated territory, supporting both first year and transfer admissions, will involve in-person and virtual recruitment, as well as some projects across the division in support of the enrollment goals of Baruch College. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is passionate about expanding access to higher education. This job requires off-campus travel, and some evening and weekend work is required.

    Responsibilities:

    + Represent Baruch College at high schools, college fairs, community-based organizations, and virtual events across your assigned territory.

    + Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, families, and school counselors, providing guidance throughout the admissions process.

    + Leverage basic data analysis to manage decisions in a designated region(s) or area of study.

    + Conduct information sessions, support tours, and the welcome center as needed, and respond to routine requests from prospective applicants and families, as well as counselors.

    + Will be expected to represent and be knowledgeable about the academics, student experience, and community at Baruch College.

    + Support programming and events staffing on and off campus as assigned.

    + The Admissions Coordinator will have other responsibilities, to be determined around a specific project or program area. These responsibilities could include developing materials for recruitment workshops and other events, assisting with messaging and presentation delivery, building recruitment plans, or further initiatives related to access.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelors Degree is required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences, as well as the ability to represent Baruch College to the public.

    + Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.

    + Knowledge of standard office software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems(Slate)

    + Ability to travel extensively and work nights and weekends as needed.

    + A valid driver’s license is preferred

    Coordinates efforts of admissions and/or enrollment offices.

     

    - Coordinates workshops, intake screenings, interviews and orientations for new students

     

    - Counsels prospective applicants on requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail or letter; conducts follow up as needed

     

    - Assists in conducting open house sessions and orientations, including group sessions and programs at high schools and in the community at large

     

    - Assists with day-to-day administration and an admissions or enrollment office, including scheduling and preparing and distributing materials

     

    - Represents the Admission Office to the college's internal and external communities as directed

     

    - Maintains and updates program databases, lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy

     

    - Performs related duties as assigned.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    $57,517 - $62,689; Salary commensurate with education and experience

    CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 6.09% with additional increases of 3.25% effective 9/1/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
