Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to manage and execute overall corporate strategies by optimizing inventory performance to achieve high customer service levels and fill rates by strategically planning, deploying, and managing the YKK AP network inventory by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

+ Reporting results of YKKAP inventory programs to senior leadership, through monthly analysis of inventory levels across the network, to include, but not limited to, inventory volumes, inventory effectiveness, internal supply chain performance, Physical Inventory, Cycle Count metrics, dead and slow inventory.

+ Manages and executes inventory strategy across the supply chain that supports budgeted business service model objectives, carrying cost of inventory across the enterprise, and meeting YKKAP sales objectives with high fill rates within lead time.

+ Work with Sales/Marketing and Manufacturing to align the product availability with Service Policies. Define and achieve alignment of inventory SKU items, replenishment lead time factors within the product planning system (ASIM).

+ Manage and adjust SKU inventory positions across supply chain based on Sales, Market, and MFG business strategies and objectives.

+ Manages introduction of new parts into YKKAP inventory programs and systems through close collaboration with Product Development, Sales, Accounting & Manufacturing to ensure inventory effectiveness at time of new product market release.

+ Manages and executes the obsolescence policy of all commercial inventory and coordinates with necessary operations the actual disposal of all qualified items.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university.

+ 2 years of experience in inventory planning or operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ APICS CPIM desired

+ Be vigilant about safety

+ Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence
