    SUMMARY

    The Job Coach will work with students on an as needed (per diem) basis who have minimal work experience to support them in work experiences with the goal of maximizing their capabilities for working in a competitive environment.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Assisting with recruiting business associates for informational interviewing, job shadowing, and work-based experiences.

    + Assist with calling students and providing them with their sessions and work schedules.

    + Provides on-the-job training (off-site locations) to ensure that each student’s service plan or coaching goals are met.

    + Observes and documents workers’ behaviors and process in the vocational assessment and/or case notes.

    + Assists in the completion of vocational assessments. Asks for assistance from co-workers and supervisors when unsure of job duty, site description and refers to program policies for job clarification.

    + Conducts/advocates for activities/employment that will increase economic self-sufficiency (i.e. increase workers' earnings and hours).

    + Ensures workers' compliance with all community worksite rules, regulations, and procedures.

    + Acts as liaison between employer and student.

    + Evaluates the daily performance of program student and make pertinent recommendations to the staff that designated your assignment with the participant.

    EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS

    + High school diploma or GED with three to six months of related experience and/or training required.
