    Job Description

    A client in the Vancouver, Wa area is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team! In this role you will be working alongside another Data Engineer and work with SQL Server, Python, Powershell, ETL, Power BI, and Excel on a daily basis. The reason for this opening is to assist with current work, but also help move this team forward on a project to build out a data warehouse for their organization. As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for SQL Server Development, consisting of but not limited to: writing stored procedures, CTE, building indexes, running queries, and reading queries. In addition you will also handle ETL processes, maintain data pipelines, support ad-hoc requests, data model, perform reporting in Power BI and script with PowerShell and Python. We are looking for someone who is proactive, has a positive attitude, and is a team player.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    3+ years of experience with SQL Server: Writing stored procedures, CTE, building indexes, running queries, and reading queries

     

    3+ years of experience working with ETL; building tables

     

    3+ years of experience with Python, Powershell or similar; experience writing scripts

     

    3-4+ years of experience with Excel

     

    Power BI experience: experience handling reporting and building out power BI reports Familiarity with APIs

     

    Familiar with Azure

    Familiar with Star Schema or Snowflake Schema null
