Job Summary and Qualifications
The Director of Quality Services manages all aspects of the Quality and Performance Improvement program to include accreditation and regulatory. Directs, coordinates, and documents PI activities and serves as project facilitator/manager and technical resource. . (ie: CMS, TDHHS, The Joint Commission, etc.)
What you will do in role:
+ Directs the efforts of the Performance Improvement initiatives to ensure overall compliance with all regulatory standards including national, state, CMS, TDHHS and The Joint Commission
+ Analyzes all assigned areas for opportunities of improvement and makes applicable recommendations for process, system, procedure, and operational changes to improve healthcare value and quality ie: Core Measures, Hospital Acquired Conditions, etc.
+ Serves as a technical advisor, educator and internal consultant to all hospital management, staff, and physicians on the use of performance improvement tools and techniques, analytical techniques, and statistical applications.
+ Assists in the establishment of operational performance measurements and the monitoring of trends in key performance indicators to evaluate effectiveness, reliability, efficiency, etc. using available information systems data. Where other data is necessary but not readily available, will design and implement appropriate data collection. Uses data from appropriate external sources, including comparative databases.
+ Manages project flow and alignment to assure milestones and key performance indicators are met within defined parameters. Documents the results of projects, and submits other documentation as requested.
+ Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive data at all times
+ Participates as an active member on hospital, division and corporate committees.
What qualifications you will need:
+ Bachelor’s degree required in nursing, healthcare administration, or a similar field of study with a strong analytical base.
+ Master’s Degree in nursing, healthcare administration or a similar field of study with a strong analytical base required or in process.
+ Minimum of two years leadership experience in acute healthcare environment is required. Quality leadership experience preferred.
+ Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
+ CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) preferred.
