    The Amazon Private Brands Marketing Organization is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Creative Director to lead the production of branded content for Amazon Essentials and Amazon Basics in collaboration with content creators.

     

    This role is part of an internal creative team comprising creative directors, copywriters, production designers, and brand managers who combine their talent, expertise, and customer obsession to create compelling and memorable brands and campaigns that customers love. The Creative Director will be responsible for concepting, art directing and leading large-scale photo shoots and will develop the end-to-end creative for global brand campaigns, including conceptualizing campaign strategies, defining landing page user experiences, and production of content for multiple marketing channels. They will also be responsible for managing production budgets across all campaigns, alongside dedicated Design Program Managers.

     

    The ideal candidate will be an experienced creative leader with a proven track record of collaborating with creators and celebrity talent to develop highly engaging marketing content. They should excel at transforming creative briefs and concepts into customer-centric designs that enhance brand image and drive engagement. They must have extensive experience art directing photo shoots and be confident in making decisive calls in a high-pressure set environment, coordinating with photographers and production teams live. The role requires strong financial acumen to manage production budgets effectively, including forecasting, tracking, and optimizing spend across various creative initiatives. The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in managing multiple production agencies to deliver high-quality brand creative on deadline. They must be adept at presenting creative work and budget proposals to senior leadership at the Director level and should be able to drive a group discussion to the right creative output for customers.

Experience working with various design tools and willingness to embrace new design technology to improve speed of production while maintaining high quality standards is essential.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Independently manage Creator -based thematic art direction end-to-end (from concept to production)

    • Present concepts and produced work to stakeholders and cross-functional partners, including senior management

    • Identify emerging culture/design trends and digital innovations

    • Build strategic and complex design solutions that present multi-disciplinary challenges and span across cross-functional teams

    • Develop and strengthen brand assets, including style and usage, across diverse categories

    • Understand and translate data into insights that inform creative conceptual development

    Basic Qualifications

    - 8+ years of driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team experience

     

    - Bachelor's degree

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote

     

    - Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions

     

    - Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery

     

    - Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)

     

    - Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives

     

    - Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
