    Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a _Systems Engineer_ to join our team in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program.

    Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

    + Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

    + Analyses are performed at all levels of total system products to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

    + Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

    + Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

    + Maintaining existing operations procedures up to date also include lessons learned from real-time performance.

    + Develop new procedures as required. Interface with program and customer personnel.

    + The selected candidate should have a strong understanding of software development.

     

    This position will be at one of our sites in **Morrisville, North Carolina, Fairfax, Virginia, or Linthicum, Maryland** . _Compensation varies depending on location_ .

     

    This position requires being on-site and does** **_not_** **support remote or hybrid work.

    Basic Qualifications

    + Must have an **active** U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance **at the time of application** [ **_US Citizenship required_** ]

    + Must have the ability to obtain and favorably succeed a CI polygraph

    + Must have a completed STEM degree _[_ _a degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics]_

    + 2 Years of relevant experience with completed Bachelor's (STEM)

    + 0 Year of experience with completed systems/software engineering Masters's (STEM)

    + Must have above minimum experience on the below:

    + Experience with software systems design

    + Experience with Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo tool

    + Experience with JIRA

    + Experience with decomposing element requirements to subsystem

    + Experience with acceptance criteria creation

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Favorably adjudicated CI polygraph

    Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $134,200.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
