Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with various departments to manage accounts payable processes, ensure accurate coding, and maintain vendor records. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations while driving process improvements and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Accounts Payable Manager and accountants by entering payables and processing AP batches for checks, wires, and payments.

• Review expenses to ensure proper general ledger coding and verify alignment with budget allocations.

• Monitor payment workflows in Avidxchange, resolving escalated items and ensuring timely completion.

• Generate weekly and monthly reports and reconciliations in collaboration with the Accounts Payable Manager.

• Support monthly close procedures by working closely with accountants to finalize accounts payable activities.

• Partner with Property and Fund Accounting teams to ensure accurate expenditure tracking, timely vendor payments, and resolution of inquiries.

• Manage vendor records, including new vendor setups and updates to existing profiles in accounting systems.

• Assist in preparing annual 1099 tax filings for vendors.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhanced efficiency in accounts payable operations.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Bachelors degree is highly preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable, with familiarity in property management or AP software such as Avidxchange.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

• Experience with property management software such as MRI is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate across teams.

• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of vendor file maintenance and annual Form 1099 preparation.

• Demonstrated ability to think proactively and suggest improvements to existing processes.
