Description

Billing Supervisor/Manager construction accounting, revenue recognition, and contract review, along with proven leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will oversee a team, streamline processes, and ensure billing operations align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage billing staff of 6- 10 plus

• Review and approve contracts entered are correct and billed according to terms and billing accuracy, including percentage of completion, unit pricing and lump sum

• Interact cross functionally for necessary documentation, such as purchase orders, from customers.

• Monitor unbilled aged receivables, follow up with the team, and resolve payment discrepancies in alignment with agreed terms.

• Assist with audit processes and contribute to monthly close activities, including preparing flash reports on operational performance.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to streamline billing and revenue workflows.

• Collaborate with senior leaders and operations teams on collections and accounts payable activities, ensuring billing accuracy and timeliness.

• Support the hiring process, onboarding new team members, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the department.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 - 15 plus years of experience in billing, contract review, and construction accounting.

• Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, particularly within the construction industry.

• Previous supervisory experience

• Experience with lump Sum, unit price and percentage of completion revenue and billing processes..

• Proficiency in ERP system ie) Oracle or SAP

• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
