    Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Design, implement, and manage F5 BIG-IP infrastructure, including LTM, ASM, APM, GTM (DNS) modules.

    + Develop and maintain iRules, iApps, and traffic policies to support complex load balancing and security requirements.

    + Optimize and troubleshoot .NET 5 application traffic flows through F5 devices to ensure performance and availability.

    + Collaborate with software development teams to understand application architecture and ensure smooth integration with F5.

    + Support automation of F5 configurations using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or F5 AS3/DO (Declarative Onboarding).

    + Ensure robust TLS/SSL management, offloading, and certificate rotation in F5 environments.

    + Participate in architecture design sessions involving cloud-native .NET 5 services (e.g., containers, microservices) and how F5 can enhance performance and security.

    + Monitor F5 infrastructure health and application availability, using tools like Splunk, SolarWinds, or native F5 analytics.

    + Perform regular patching, upgrades, and configuration backups of F5 devices.

    + Mentor junior engineers and provide Level 3 support for networking and application delivery issues

    Requirements

    Required Skills & Experience

    + 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer with 5+ years of F5-specific experience.

    + Proven expertise in managing F5 BIG-IP LTM, with experience in ASM, APM, and GTM.

    + Solid understanding of .NET 5 (C#) runtime environments, REST APIs, and web application architecture.

    + Deep familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, load balancing algorithms, and web security concepts (OWASP Top 10).

    + Experience integrating .NET 5 apps with CI/CD pipelines, and configuring F5 to support staging and production environments.

    + Working knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools – Ansible, Terraform, Python, or F5 Automation Toolchain.

    + Experience with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their application delivery equivalents (e.g., Azure Front Door, AWS ALB/NLB) is a plus.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + F5 Certified Technology Specialist (F5-CTS) or F5 Certified Solution Expert (F5-CSE).

    + Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer.

    + Familiarity with containerized .NET 5 apps (Docker, Kubernetes).

    + Strong scripting abilities in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

    + Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
