Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Property Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee financial activities for assigned communities, ensuring accuracy and compliance in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of property accounting and demonstrate flexibility in collaborating with diverse teams.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile monthly bank accounts and balance sheets for assigned properties.

• Conduct thorough reviews of T12 reports, budget-to-actual comparisons, and general ledger activities.

• Prepare and post adjusting, accrual, and recurring journal entries as required.

• Generate periodic financial reports and property-specific analytical insights.

• Offer recommendations for improved accounting practices based on community performance.

• Manage sales tax filings and other tax-related reporting requirements.

• Ensure proper accounting for all operational activities within assigned communities.

• Record irregular or non-operating deposits as needed.

• Collaborate effectively with senior leaders, on-site teams, and remote staff to achieve accounting goals.

• Handle special projects, research tasks, and data analysis independently or as part of a team. Requirements • Proficiency in account coding and various accounting software systems.

• Experience with ADP Financial Services, AMSI, and AppFolio platforms.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and accrual accounting.

• Familiarity with auditing processes and financial reporting standards.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
