Description

Thriving, technology firm is looking to hire a Financial Controller with public accounting experience. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in accounting, adherence to regulatory standards, and efficient financial reporting. You will also be responsible for the financial close process, providing operations with financial support, managing the general ledger systems, directing financial planning, preparing financial reports/statements, providing data analysis, and preparing financial forecasts. The ideal Financial Controller will keep abreast of financial trends, monitor budgets, manage special projects, and oversee a small team of accountants. This Controller must have excellent financial and organizational skills and the ability to develop and implement new revenue-generating accounting systems.

How you will make an impact

• Oversee internal control system

• Review and manage year end documents

• Perform profit & loss analysis

• Coordinate financial audit

• Monitor banking and credit card transactions

• Implement applicable accounting policies and procedures

• Assist with sales tax filings and compliance

• Treasury & Cash Management

• Provide timely and complete financial statements

• Assist with preparing annual budget

Requirements

The ideal Financial Controller will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Financial Controller role include and are not limited to:

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience

• Public Accounting expertise preferred

• Hands on experience with AP, AR, Payroll, etc.

• QuickBooks experience

• CPA highly preferred

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
