Payroll Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage payroll operations for our organization in New York, New York. This role requires a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of payroll systems, compliance regulations, and employee data management. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with HR teams to ensure seamless payroll processes and accurate recordkeeping.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
• Maintain comprehensive employee records in Dayforce, including updates for new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
• Ensure payroll systems are aligned with current policies, benefits, and entitlements to maintain compliance.
• Work closely with HR teams, such as Benefits, Compensation, and Recruiting, to uphold data integrity across systems.
• Monitor adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations, implementing updates as needed.
• Generate detailed payroll reports using tools like Crystal Reports for auditing and analysis.
• Support 401k and RRSP administration, ensuring contributions are processed efficiently.
• Collaborate with accounting teams to reconcile payroll accounts and address discrepancies.
• Conduct audits of payroll processes to identify and resolve errors promptly.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on payroll procedures and system functionalities. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll management, with expertise in ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian systems.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll reporting tools, such as Crystal Reports.
• Experience with 401k and RRSP administration processes.
• Ability to manage employee data accurately in HR systems like Dayforce.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with HR and accounting teams.
• Background in auditing payroll operations and resolving discrepancies.
