Job Description

Operates Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Collaborates with clinicians to ensure appropriateness of studies. Maintains required documentation.

Job Responsibility

+ Performs thorough screening of patients prior to procedure.

+ Ensures no metal objects accompany patient into procedure room.

+ Prepares patient for exam by placing and positioning patient on exam table within the gantry.

+ Enters patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from a requisition completed by the Radiologist to include anatomical area of interest.

+ Performs MRI procedures to include: abdominal, thoracic, neurological exams, extremities, sub-periosteal implant planning, radiation therapy treatment planning, biopsies etc.

+ Recognizes and promptly reports patient's motor abnormalities; including, fainting, discoloration, contrast reactions etc., to the Radiologist.

+ Performs minor repairs and frequent calibration checks and adjusts equipment, when necessary.

Job Qualification

+ Vocational or Technical school Diploma required.

+ Current License to practice as a Radiologist in New York State required, and Current ARRT Radiology registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

+ 1-3 years of technical experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $70.39-$70.39/hour
