Summary:
The Family Program Recruiter is responsible for identifying, contacting, and registering eligible families for youth placement. Additionally, the recruiter provides presentations to, and forges community partnerships with, organizations that interface with the systems such as child welfare or behavioral health. The Family Program Recruiter meets regularly with certifiers, caseworkers, community partners, and others to provide an overview of the clinical program and to solicit referrals. The recruiter maintains a collaborative working relationship with relevant local agencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Works with the clinical supervisor to anticipate family needs.
• Partners with the organization marketing team to select methods of advertising.
• Identifies possible referral sources and performs outreach.
• Meets with appropriate partners at the Department of Health and Human Services and community partners to solicit referrals.
• Recruits, trains, and facilitates certification of families interested in providing treatment to youth.
• Serves as a resource to families and trouble shoots with families as well as maintains motivation and treatment participation of families and ensures engagement and positive working relationship between families and the agency.
• Conducts structured telephone interviews with program families on youth behaviors and family stress (“PDR”), daily (5 days/week).
• Shares PDR data with the clinical supervisor and the program staff.
• Organizes program structure to support the implementation of identified direction, goals and policies and leads staff in implementing them.
• Supports the clinical supervisor in organizing and attending weekly sessions with the program families.
• Attends weekly team meetings and program supervisions.
• Provides public presentations on the program.
• Acts as the liaison between program families and program by phone, email, or text by describing the program, answering any questions, or completing any intake paperwork.
• Completes any documentation required by the program and/or agency on time and thoroughly.
• Meets regularly with stakeholders, State of Maine representative/Program Manager, and consultants.
EDUCATION:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
**·** Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience or familiarity with foster parenting, preferably in a therapeutic foster care setting.
• Background in an area relevant to the mental health field preferred.
• Experience in teaching or instructional presentations preferred.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing technology on a day-to-day basis for communicating by e-mail, preparing reports, and conducting research.
• Development of a thorough understanding of and enthusiasm toward the TFCO model.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
