    VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizon** a is seeking an experienced **Veterinary Technician** **Supervisor t** o work at our well-established, **AAHA-accredited, 18-doctor practice in Mesa, Arizona.

     

    **Location:** 1648 N Country Club Dr, Mesa, AZ 85201

     

    We are looking for qualified, experienced Technicians to share in a growing, exciting, fast-paced environment in our surgical dept. The candidate MUST be able to work weekends. Previous emergency experience HIGHLY preferred. Previous veterinary technician experience is a MUST. Most importantly, must be client-oriented and have high customer service skills.

     

    We are a 24-hour emergency/specialty practice looking for a Technician with a positive personality, whose attributes reflect attention-to-detail, self-motivation, compassion, and reliability.     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    + **Staff Management:**

    + Department Schedule

    + Training, educating, and assisting employees to grow

    + Assigning job responsibilities

    + Review and implement hospital protocols

    + Ensuring effective communication and teamwork

    + Ensuring OSHA and safety programs, procedures, and reports

    + Ensuring the daily, weekly, and monthly task lists are being completed.

    + Motivating associates and maintaining a positive work environment.

    + Overseeing and helping to regulate employee overtime and meal breaks

    + Perform staff reviews in a manner that discusses goals and receiving feedback.

    + Maintaining professionalism and setting the tone for a positive work culture in the hospital.

    + Work 50% of the time on administrative shifts and 50% of the time on the floor as a technician in the department

    + Compassionate care for hospitalized patients

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Competent Veterinary Technician Skills

    + Supervisor Experience

    + Hold a current CVT license (preferred)

    + Flexibility in hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays

    + Customer service skills

    + Working knowledge of computers

    + Excellent communication skills

    + Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
