Job Title: Lead Facilities Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Facilities Technician responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings and building systems across all company-owned properties. This role involves a variety of trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, mechanical, and locksmithing, with a welding background being an advantage. The technician will also provide training to other facilities crew members.
Responsibilities
+ Perform periodic preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, building systems, and equipment as assigned.
+ Monitor standard stock shop materials and supplies, notifying the supervisor when replenishment is needed.
+ Fabricate shopping baskets and custom gates, railings, cabinetry, and shelving as needed.
+ Maintain and repair tables, chairs, and umbrellas at all company-owned properties.
+ Paint buildings, furniture, fences, doors, gates, and walls as directed.
+ Conduct general troubleshooting on mechanical equipment, including air-conditioning units and sump pumps.
+ Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures such as public restrooms, janitor sinks, landscape irrigation systems, hose bibs, storm drains, and sewer systems.
+ Ensure proper setting of all lighting time clocks and familiarity with lighting control systems (bluebox).
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in facilities maintenance, HVAC, mechanical systems, painting, building maintenance, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, locksmithing, and welding.
+ Proficiency in preventive maintenance and use of paint sprayers, fire alarm systems, forklifts, and boom lifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to work with minimal supervision.
+ Skill in using various types of shop equipment, including paint sprayers, saws, welding machines, and plumber's snakes.
+ Capability to operate boom lifts, forklifts, and other heavy-duty equipment.

Work Environment
Work in a mixed-use building environment comprising 12 retail/commercial spaces and 12 residential units. The role involves shift work from 6 am to 3 am, with a focus on diverse and dynamic tasks that require adaptability and technical expertise.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
