    Drive safety excellence across our power production facilities.Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. is hiring a Manager, Health and Safety to lead initiatives that ensure the well-being of our workforce and the compliance of our operations. Based at our Springfield, Missouri headquarters, this position offers the opportunity to shape strategic direction and champion best practices across our power production facilities.

    What you’ll do:

    + Lead, mentor, and support health and safety staff across multiple locations

    + Develop and implement policies, procedures, and compliance strategies aligned with federal and state regulations

    + Compile and report plant EH&S performance metrics, identify trends, and drive proactive improvements.

    + Direct technical EH&S staff to ensure effective support for plant operations and maintenance.

    + Oversee cross-functional training, audits, performance metrics, and contractor safety programs

    What you’ll need:

    + Bachelor of Science in engineering, safety management, environmental science, or a related technical field

    + At least 4 years of related experience in health and safety, ideally in the power industry

    + A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role with direct reports.

    + Demonstrated expertise in OSHA standards and other occupational safety regulations.

    + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills

    Preferred:

    + Experience engaging with regulatory agencies, managing EH&S audits, and presenting to executive leadership
